'Hollywood' Adam was the co-host of the Nobody Likes Onions program during the first year of the program. He was often teased and chastised for his limited participation on the show, and his general lack of preparation. It became a running joke that Adam "brought nothing to the table".

The nickname 'Hollywood Adam' was coined early-on by Patrick, in reference the audacity of Adam taking leave from the program after the first episode for a business trip to Los Angeles, California. The name stuck.

Adam is married and is the proud father of one, which, due to his relatively young age, became the subject of several jokes on the show. His mother was also a guest and a contributor to NLO during the time Adam was on the show.

Throughout his tenure, Adam had often been the show's whipping-boy, being the subject of many insults and jokes from Patrick and fans alike. The most notable example of this is the 'Fuck You Gay Adam' catchphrase which became the standard closing line in listener call-ins, voicemails, emails, and even letters sent to the show's P.O. box.

In November 2006, Adam announced his departure from the show. This was a shock to the NLO family and reminded many fans of Patrick's fake quitting of the show in December 2005. However, Adam assured everyone that this was no joke and that he was indeed leaving for good. Adam stated that juggling a full-time job, family life, and the show was getting to be far too much for him to handle. In Episode 236, Patrick stated that the full story of Adam's depature would not be told for any amount of money out of respect for Adam.

Adam has said that he will make occasional appearances as a guest from time to time, but it has become increasingly apparent to fans of the show that this isn't going to happen. He lurks on the forums occasionally and plays Xbox Live with the fans however. While his return is unlikely, he is still a part of the NLO community, albeit on a much smaller scale than before.
