NLO continues to be one of the most popular and fastest growing podcasts in the world, due to its professional production value, universal content, aggressive marketing strategies and word of mouth. The show is consistently ranked as one of the highest rated shows on Podcast Alley. In 2006, the program was nominated for two Podcast Awards in the Best Produced and Best Comedy categories, and in 2007, the show took home the Best Comedy award along with a nomination in the People's Choice category.
