The term "humidor" first arose in Episode 185, when Patrick was asked (0:48:02) what had happened to the Crystal Pepsi, which he had failed to follow through on the previously ensured drinking of on show 182, Liquid Tuesdays. Patrick responded by stating that said drink had been "locked up in [his] beverage humidor."

"Humidor" is pronounced with a hidden "y" sound like the words "h(y)uman and h(y)umid". Patrick exaggerates this sound to achieve something like the sound of someone hocking up a large wad of spit or phlegm, and this moistly enthusiastic abortion of sound smoothly merges into the word "yoomidor", spoken with a sort of grating satisfaction.
