Johnny Bell is a professional comedian and poker dealer in the Tampa Bay area. He first appeared in Episode 98 as a guest with Chef. After show 144, Johnny has become a more permanent host on the show.

Johnny has had a long and illustrious comedy career. He did his first Open Mic in 1994 and then dropped comedy while he pursued a job as a DJ in a local night club. Johnny worked as a DJ until 1999 when he became a professional poker dealer in Tampa, Mississippi and then Las Vegas. While dealing, Johnny became a much better poker player and began playing professionally with considerable success. In 2000 Johnny entered an Open Mic contest at the Tampa Improv on a dare and has been doing comedy ever since then.

Johnny met Patrick 5 years ago when Patrick was starting out on the Open Mic circuit. Patrick opened for Johnny at an Italian restaurant comedy night. Patrick bombed, but Johnny loved his stuff. They have been friends ever since.

Johnny currently deals poker at a Tampa-area poker room and still performs standup comedy.

Johnny is what some people might call overweight. At the peak of his obesity he weighed around 500 lbs. until he had gastric bypass surgeryjokes and dropped to 220 lbs. He currently weighs 300 lbs. Johnny B's weight, however, is not organized in a mainstream-fat-guy sort of style, but rather allocated in a rather unusual way. Some have said that the tapered-top, gradually-widening-downward bottom look has given him the appearance of a Christmas tree. Notable guest Robert Kelly remarked that he looks like he's melting.

Johnny has recently fallen under controversy for drinking pink colored drinks, including Gatorade and Vitamin Water. While Johnny continued to fight his corner, claiming that the drink was anything but pink, Patrick and the other NLO hosts were convinced otherwise. Due to relentless hassle on Patrick's part, Johnny eventually caved in, admitting that the drink may in fact be pink.

Johnny drives a Honda Element and lives in Valrico, Florida with his wife Melissa, son Zane, and his English Bulldog, Chubs.Chubbs.
