Major Motion Picture Film Project
Also known as MMPFP, this very regularly recurring segment features Patrick talking about is alleged involvement in a major motion picture film project. He regularly opens this segment by saying: "I am involved, in a Major, Motion Picture Film Project."
He regularly leaks details of the project, but keeps the full details to himself, claiming that the patent and copyright for the project has not been completed. He also encourages listeners and guests to check his IMDb page (which was a humorous reference to the other Patrick M****n).
The leaked details often range from including details of very large names working on the allegedly smaller budget project to nonsensical details on the plot, setting and filming. This has lead to many fans, and other hosts on the show to throw doubt upon the idea that Patrick is really involved in such a project.
Patrick himself has said that he exaggerates many of the details he leaks for the purpose of comedy, but claims that he is in fact involved in a project and becomes slightly offended by the idea that he is lying.
Because of the absurdity of the segment and the amount of time it usually lasts during shows it has become either loved or hated by fans, who debated whether the segment was getting too annoying. Patrick responded by devoting a whole episode (128) to the segment, telling fans on the episode's show notes: "You asked for it."
The film was alleged to be called "Under the Jello Moon" and was going to be filmed on Lake Michigan. The plot of the film revolved around the fact that the entire lake would be turned into jello, and Patrick often wondered how possible this would be. The general plot of the film was that the Lake suddenly turned into jello, and since this was new unclaimed land, all the people living around the lake rushed out to stake their claim. The story followed the lives of the inhabitants of the lake. Several plot twists were added, such as part of the lake being made of nitroglycerine and all of the characters having shoes made of different hosehold items (such as matches and paperclips). In Episode: 142, the plot was completely changed once again. The movie is now called "Scribbles the Dog" and will be shot in a warehouse in Compton. The plot centers around a dog named Scribbles who lives in a warehouse. All the stars have left the project but they have managed to get Jack Osborne for one day of filming. While there was no budget for a set, they did manage to rent a crane to film Patrick in front of the open sky. The film lost their catering budget along with the other budget cuts and Patrick now has to eat "generic brownies". The movie has a theme song written by a local band:
"Scribbles the Dog"
Scribbles, Scribbles the Dog
Jumping through hoops,
Jumping the log
Scribbles, Scribbles the Dog
Always jumping where it's
[clap, clap]
Handy!
